Indigenous Economies:
Building the Platform

Shaping Long-term Indigenous Wealth

July 14-15, 2026   |  Ottawa, ON  |  Venue TBD

Coeuraj Capital invites you to a 1.5 day working session focused on advancing Indigenous ownership across major economic opportunities in Canada. This session will bring together a small, intentionally selected group of Indigenous leaders, capital partners, and institutions who are actively engaged in economic development, investment, and governance.

Across the country, opportunities are increasing. Capital is available. Activity is accelerating. What remains underdeveloped is the integrated financial infrastructure required to move from access to ownership.

This session is designed to focus on that gap.

Why This Session, Why Now?

Indigenous Nations are actively participating in economic development. What remains underdeveloped are the integrated financial infrastructure required to originate, finance and retain long-term value at scale.

The constraint is not opportunity. It is the absence of integrated approaches that connect:

This session will examine how a more coordinated, platform-based approach can begin to close that gap and focused on advancing real opportunities rather than general discussion.

Together, we will ...

01
Center long-term
economic position
Focus the discussion on how Indigenous Nations build sustained own-source revenue and hold long-term value.
02
Test a concrete
platform concept
Examine a working model for structuring, financing, and executing opportunities across the system.
03
Surface what
limits execution
Identify the governance, capital, and coordination constraints that prevent opportunities from moving.
04
Explore pathways
for capital and action
Understand where capital can engage and where there is alignment to continue work beyond the session.

Participation

This is an invite-only session. We have intentionally convened a small group of participants representing Indigenous leadership, economic development organizations, capital partners, and practitioners working across these systems.

Nutritious snacks, lunch, and beverages will be provided.  This is a laptop-free session, designed to support active participation and focused engagement.
